Autonomous Music – Array Vol. 1
September 22, 2011 2 comments
Check out this free compilation that the independent Autonomous Music label released to show off their wide range of artists and musical styles. They boast a number of MJF favorites on their roster, which includes Paper Diamond, Emancipator, and Papadosio just to name a few. As the title suggests, there is a wide ‘array’ of music on this mix so I’ll just give a few examples of what to expect on here, but you should listen to the whole thing and judge for yourself. No two people have the exact same musical tastes anyways.
If you’re into downtempo Pretty Lights-esq music then check out Maps by Emancipator and Sweet Spring by The Malah. Reggae/Ska lovers will enjoy Dog on a Rope & Sinsemillia. Whomp-Whompers can get their dubstep fix with Cherry Blossoms & Phutureprimitive. If you’re into chill jams with actual singing, All I Knew and Comfort Curse may become your new favorite songs. As I mentioned before, they have a variety of musical genres on the label and as you listen to this compilation, you’ll realize how good of an ear they have for talent. Don’t sleep on this, and let me know if you have any particular favorites in the comments section…although you probably won’t anyways.
