The video for Camp favorite ‘Heartbeat’ gives us Gap model Donald driving a vintage car and making out/cavorting with an impressionable young co-star. Heterosexual females and homosexual males; does this Donald make you randy? Or does he give you kind of a Drake-but-more-bitter vibe?

I think hes really lame..like I mean some of his songs are catchy and shit, but thats it. Just catchy on a pop level. His punchlines are really dry and he seems to make punchlines for the sake of making punchlines thinking that it makes him a good lyricist. He’s just another rapper/singer/emotional opportunist in a sea of dozens. I don’t even know if I’d call him an “artist”. Does he make art? What is “art” in rap/hiphop? Well its not this and its not him. If anything he is just painting the same thing over and again. I smell a sellout in the near future but thats just me, maybe times are changing.

i think on he is a strong lyricist just cause of how “real he is”. his lyrics are “real” in a different way from people like Nas, Lupe, etc. I think he is real based on how relateable the lyrics are, a lot of the stuff he talks about are similar to stuff my friends and i would talk about when we are chilling.. just my opinion though

You gotta realize that music is probably the last thing this guy gets to work on. He’s a successful stand up, and writes for a few network TV shows and does a bunch of other shit. So he just makes real dope ass music for the sake of making dope music. He’s raw, and his success as a rapper doesn’t even matter…so just enjoy the music.

I like him, he just has to stop whining about girls not liking him before/people calling him a loser/being smart/etc etc etc. I think he’s super talented and needs to be real without being so literal about certain things. His EP was the shit but the verdict is still out on Camp.

All that being said, hitting up eBay to see how much those old Benzes are. That thing is fly.
