Cleveland Emcee Machine Gun Kelly Signs Deal With Bad Boy

First thing’s first, congratulations to MGK on his new record deal with the dev…I mean Diddy. For those who don’t know, Machine Gun Kelly is a rapper from Cleveland who has created quite a buzz for himself and garnered a lot of attention from record label executives. Posted above is a video from MGK that officially announces his signing with Mr. Daddy and Bad Boy/Interscope Records. I like Kelly, especially after hearing this, but I’m predicting a lot of comparisons to Interscope’s other new “From the dirt-skateboarding-rapid fire white rapper.”

What do you guys think of MGK? Will his new deal with Diddy be successful?

i’ve never really thought he was worth a damn, but i’ve also ignored the majority of his music per the white rapper stigma. we know Diddy doesn’t always make the best moves, so………i’m not holding my breath for an album

I’ve never been impressed by him. His beat selection is NIIIIIIIIIIIICE. But quick spitting is a gimmick whack rappers hide behind. I don’t see anything special about him other than the fact he’s from a city which so desperately needs someone/something to root for.
