I know I’ve been posting a ton of electro/dubstep lately but that is just due to the fact of producers stepping their game up on their tracks. This LP is no exception. Emalkay is from Birmingham, UK and “refuses to define himself by anything other than his own musical revolution.” While Emalkay has appeared on a couple mixes that have been posted on MJF, this is his debut and is one of the most advanced sounding electronic albums I have heard in a while. When I first heard this, it immediately reminded me of how I felt about Justice after listening to their album (†) for the first time. I suspect Emalkay will be someone to look out for in the near future.
