I’ve been plugging GRiZ’s music over the past few weeks in anticipation of his debut album Mad Liberation and it has been released to the masses as a free download. This 22 year old producer is setting the bar very high with this and there is a reason why he has shared the stage with Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic and Zed’s Dead, not to mention festival appearances at Electric Forest and Coachella this year. This album is full of divergent electro funk styles with a little something everyone can enjoy.
For those who like hard-hitting dubstep, check out Too Young for Tragedy and Blastaa. For the rest of us who prefer downtempo, my recommendations would be Where is the Love, Fall in Love too Fast, and Wonder Why. While GRiZ plays the saxophone on a few tracks, Dom from Big Gigantic lends his skills to one of my personal standouts Mr. B.
Check it out and let us know your favorite in the comments. Shouldn’t be too long before this kid moves from the tents to the big stage.
