what was the first CD or tape that you ever bought?
The first CD I bought with my own money was Blink182′s “Take Off Your Pants and Jacket,” I think. I didn’t start having my own money for a while, seeing that I believe that album came out when I was in 7th or 8th grade. I’m proud to say, however, that the first CD I ever received was the “Semi-Charmed Life” single (by Third Eye Blind) and the “All For You” single (by Sister Hazel). Do they even sell singles anymore?

what was the most recent CD you purchased?

This is sad, but I can’t remember the last physical CD I purchased. I feel like the last physical copy of CD I bought was probably a present and I probably didn’t dig what I bought, or else I would’ve kept it for myself. According to my Itunes though the last album I purchased was TV On The Radio’s “Dear Science.” Awesome album! But still, maybe I should stop downloading music.

describe your most memorable concert experience.
I’ve been to so many concerts and had too many great experiences! The two that stick out the most were actually at the music festival Lollapalooza. The first one would be when I saw Daft Punk. I swear to god it was a religious experience. I’ve never been around so many happy people at once. It was the most insane thing I have ever witnessed. The other would be when I saw Rage Against The Machine. Now, I have been a Rage fan since I was in 4th grade and was devastated when they broke. I thought I would never get to see them. So when Lolla said they were coming you know I was there. Anyway they started playing and I couldn’t get as close as I wanted so naturally I started crying. Literally just bawling. It was super embarrassing.

what is your biggest musical guilty pleasure?
Pretty much everyone knows this about me, but I have a weird obsession with High School Musical. It has even come to the point where I’m not embarrassed about it anymore simply because most people know. But still, it is hard to explain sometimes when a person I just meet is going to through my Itunes and sees three soundtracks worth of High School Musical music.

if you could hang out with any recording artist (dead or alive) who would you choose and why?
Hands down…Amy Winehouse. She is my favorite recording artist ever. I love everything she comes out with. She is also such a bad ass. Say what you will about her drug abuse, her irrational behavior, and her trashy public appearances…she is still the most talented and well-studied singer alive today. Not saying I condone or encourage the drug use, but doesn’t that sort of make her fit the mold of the rockstar? Sex, Drugs, Rock ‘n’ Roll? What happened to that? And it’s even cooler cause she’s changed it to “Sex, Drugs, Jazz and RnB.” I love Amy!

HSM is still less embarrassing than Glee.

And singles were great, mostly due to the fact that Matchbox Twenty albums only had one or two songs you ever wanted to listen to anyway. Not sure if I approve of not buying a full 3eb album though. All their lyrics are about sex, drugs or killing people, so they pretty much made the 90s for me.
