Maybach Music Group Presents Self Made Vol. 1 (Stream)

Like him or not (I fall in the latter), Rick Ross has built quite the formidable hip-hop team. Call them the second generation G-Unit, or Young Money sans the annoying chick (and Canadian crooner). But, Maybach Music Group, or MMG, is Ross’ startup label and enlists the likes of Wale (the least interesting MC here, by my account), southern snarler Pill, and former Philly battle-rapper Meek Mill for their first release under the new moniker.
Frankly, I’m not much of a fan of anyone involved here, but it must be noted that Ross has impeccable taste in beats and laces his young team members with production that makes them sound a hell of a lot more important than they have in past releases. Stream the album in it’s entirety over at Complex.
