I swear on my favorite leather jacket that I found this song days ago and was going to post it but you know – WORK. Anyways, no excuses – Little Daylight is an indie pop trio that has a SoundCloud full of (great) remixes of favorites including Penguin Prison, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, and St. Lucia. Now they are stepping out with their first original song “Overdose,” and putting their other talents on display. In the indie pop spectrum, they find their sweet spot somewhere around the same niche as Sky Ferreira. Heavy bass, sweet female vocals and enough ooohs to compel me to put this song on repeat. And watch the video below which proves that all you need to be prepared for a city blackout is a flashlight, glow sticks and this song.
*sidenote – first time I heard this, something about it just felt like it could use a Goldroom treatment. What do you say, Josh?
