My Morning Jacket put on a show last night in their hometown of Louisville, Kentucky to celebrate the release of their new album, Circuital (buy it). The concert was streamed on Youtube for those not fortunate enough to attend and I think their set went on for about three hours.
My Morning Jacket has covered Erykah Badu’s song, “Tyrone” in the past and the audience/viewers got to see them perform it together live during the encore. Along with “Wordless Chorus,” Badu and the band also performed her song “Twinkle” and she joined them for “The Day Is Coming, a new song off Circuital. I’m hoping they put up more videos, but if you missed it you can watch a few more on the band’s Vevo channel.
The only video I could find of “Tyrone” from last night sucked so check out My Morning Jacket performing it at Bonnaroo in 2008 instead.
