News: Frank Ocean Addresses Rumors About Bisexuality

Over the past few days, there have been a number of rumors swirling about Frank Ocean and his upcoming album, Channel Orange. There has been some speculation from prerelease listeners that Frank may be bisexual due to some of the lyrical content he’s put out. But is it true? Well, folks, wonder no longer. Frank just posted this image on his Tumblr, answering some of the rumors.

Is this a surprise to you? What did you think about the rumors before Frank addressed it personally? I, for one, thought they were likely accurate (“I’m high and I’m bi, oh wait, I mean I’m straight“). One has to wonder how this will affect his record sales, but at this point, it shouldn’t.

This would have represented Odd Future shock value on a whole different level had it been on the album. Regardless, good for Frank. Channel Orange is gonna do Carter 3 numbers.

I am not really into the new music and this “ODD FUTURE” thing, but I have heard some of Franky’s R&B tracks, and his last single, and I appreciate his voice, and honest sounding emotions. Now, I have a totally new level of respect for him, as a black man, deciding to make that move- to be honest with who he is! I think this will send ripples through the black community, and the rest of society, larger than he knows! But many people will be grateful for his decision to speak up and BE HIMSELF! True artist.

I thought it was already determined that he was bi. If you listen to Bricks and Steel, he doesn’t only talk to a girl, you hear “He don’t hear a word I said oh.” Regardless, I think the note was beautiful.
