Looks like Jay-Z is starting to get what he wished for. Billboard is reporting that the RIAA (probably after watching Jay and Co. sell the concept of selling out) is changing their rules to allow digital sales to count immediately on the day of purchase, instead of having to wait the 30 days allowed to consider physical sales. In essence, Magna Carta Holy Grail is already platinum, as Samsung has bought the million copies needed, handing them out to their downloading denizens. While Billboard will not be changing their own rules Jay doesn’t really seem to care, let’s just hope the album lives up to the sales.
