SWIM DEEP was one of my band’s to listen for in 2013 and I hope you have been. Their sun-kissed explosive songs like “Honey” and “The City” have gotten them a record deal with Chess Club/Sony RCA. Veering further away from their grunge sound into a place of pop, the band envisions a musical result of Duran Duran mixed with One Direction.

Says singer Austin Williams: “I want to have a massive influence on pop music. Not to be the biggest band necessarily – that can come too if it’s the right time and place – but I want to be the most influential. I want to be a band that someone wants to jam with, that someone looks up to.”

With incredible songs and this sentimental cover of Led Zeppelin, I can’t see SWIM DEEP’s sounds not influencing everyone around them who hears their sun-kissed take on pop.

[NYC] SWIM DEEP announced on their Twitter today: “March 19th mercury lounge in new york waiting all our lives for it x.” I think I’ve been waiting all my life for it too. March 19th cannot come soon enough.
