I’m in love. These first few chords are almost reminiscent of Nirvana. And those first lyrics? I poured a drink for you but you were smoking with your friends outside and I see big things for you got me plans for you and I. I mean – those lyrics just melt me, strike a chord with me. Wolf Alice’s “White Leather” is a big departure from their previous song “Fluffy.” While “Fluffy” is all jagged and filled to the brim with attitude, “White Leather” is a soft display of emotion that implores gentle guitar riffs and showcases Ellie Rowsell’s voice. Like I said, I’m in love. Bonus points for their album art also. The ‘Fluffy/White Leather’ single is out February 11th through Chess Club Records.
