i dig this new collaboration from Wolfgang and Deadmau5. you can clearly hear both of their styles in the mix. looking forward to seeing what else they can cook up. no recent word on deadmau5′s ketamine habit, but it was recently announced he’s doing the house music for the 2010 VMA’s. that’s a big deal

“i mean, props to him for ridding my tail to get himself some free publicity and all that… but are the threats really nesciscary? im not one to speak against people who “say stupid shit on twitter” … because i do it ALL THE TIME… i, however, have never, and will never threaten violence to anyone in that context. it’s fucking childish. so if the little child wants his attention… well look… he’s certainly got it. cool fuckin story bro… but why u mad? anyways, i hope he grows up and hopefully figures out that “making good music” sells your profile, and not making up some dumbfuck dressing room story and including my name in it for fuckin entertainment’s sake. and thats all im going to say about that.”
note the humorous typos. this is a very interesting online dispute for the electronica/dubstep set. i’ve seen both perform and i love their music, but they’re both definitely a little crazy. i think i’m down with #teamrusko on this recent conflict what do you guys think

UPDATE: The Mau5 apparently passed out on stage at the 930 Club in DC and as a result canceled his gigs the remainder of August, leading people to speculate about his drug use. I suspect he’s one of those self-strangulation/heroin dudes, but I could be watching too much “Intervention.” no matter how you look at it, telling a DJ not to smoke weed at a concert is like trying to convince Smokey the Bear to burn down a church…or something

someone made a video for it and it fits the music pretty well
this song’s insane. one of his best. with the surreal, dreamy textures until the alarm and then a full on explosion of electro-cution. this song allows all your worries and concerns to drift to the background, to be replaced by optimism and hope that anything’s possible. the american dream

so very TRVS of him to play Rage. mau5 rocked a free sold out show at the olympics for 8,000 stoked athletes/fans. another 12,000 were lined up outside the venue and unable to get inside. this electro music is EXPLODING. so mad i didn’t go the day he was performing at Lollapalooza this year. But I will be in rare form to experience the Mau5-headed one at BONNAROO this summer.
