It seems someone has finally
run out of shopping money decided to refocus her efforts on her career. Earlier this year, Ciara announced her return with a new single titled “Sweat.” But after a tepid response to the track, she went back to drawing board. Enlisting the help of “Promise” writer Jasper Cameron, it appears the ATLien is ready to begin promotion for hew new album.
The track, simply titled “Sorry,” sees Ciara telling an ex-lover that all he needed to do was apologize. Rumored to be about rapper 50 Cent, the silky slow jam is the first single off the singer’s upcoming album, One Woman Army.
See if Ciara gets her apology below:
Well color me fucking surprised. When Ciara revealed she was releasing a slow jam as her new first single, I expected the worse. To be honest, though, I shouldn’t have. Despite her vocal limitations, Ciara is notorious for producing slow tempo bangers that allow her soft range to glide over the instrumental. This song has the potential to well on the urban charts, but it needs promotion. Hopefully her team has more than Ciara playing assistant to Kim Kardashian lined up for promo because she is running low on chances to regain her footing in the industry.
