Yours Truly is a really cool site/company in San Francisco that connects the artist and the fan through handwritten notes and intimate performances. With latest posts featuring artists like Toro Y Moi and Inc.,definitely check out the site if you haven’t yet.
Their newest feature spotlights the incomparable Jessie Ware singing “Do For Love” in a flower shop. And definitely read the description of how it all went down by Amber below:
We walked at a brisk pace; passing strangers bundled in scarves and the evening’s promise. We turned left onto a quiet street and briefly paused in the pool of light seeping from the unassuming window of Louesa Roebuck’s flower shop. Once inside, candles cast shadows of the foraged flora: weeping green leaves, pensive mallow blooms, and honeyed magnolias. Jessie snickered and teased until the very breath that began the song, singing of love like a true romantic, surely weak-kneed and blushing. “Are lovers brave or foolish?” we asked ourselves, but never answered. The room just held us and for a brief moment, we let it. – Amber Schadewald
